Trimble Offers Custom Topographic, Aerial and Hybrid Map Prints

Create Custom Printed Maps for Construction, Surveying, Agriculture and Field Projects

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Nov. 15, 2011 — (PRNewswire) — Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) today introduced a new large-format, map-printing service for the construction, surveying, agriculture, and field research trades. The new service is available through MyTopo, a Trimble company, at www.MyTopo.com.

MyTopo's Website has a simple five-step process to design custom maps for areas in the U.S. and Canada. Base map options include U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and Department of Natural Resources Canada (DRCAN) topographic maps, up-to-date color aerial imagery from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and TopoPhoto maps (a hybrid topographical/aerial photo map).

In addition, users can overlay GPS coordinates on maps, select the map scale, add navigation grids, and personalize them with their name and map title.

MyTopo offers five, large-format print sizes (from 18" x 24" to 60" x 84"). Paper choices include waterproof, glossy, laminated or banner-style material. Smaller map sizes can be professionally-folded for use in the field.

The two largest sizes (48" x 60" and 60" x 84") were recently added to accommodate demand for wall maps that can be scaled to cover mountain ranges, counties, cities, or to magnify smaller tracts of land.

"The ability to quickly create and easily order large-format topo maps and aerial photos is an ideal service for customers who need a true-to-scale and up-to-date topographic map or aerial image," said Kevin Toohill, general manager for MyTopo. "These maps can be used for plotting, planning and tracking progress on projects or for hanging on an office wall." The maps are printed and shipped within 24 hours of the order.

MyTopo offers the most up-to-date topos available and has enhanced thousands of base topo maps with info from the U.S. Forest Service and other map providers. The aerial imagery comes from the USDA National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) and is updated every two or three years during the growing season.

Prices for custom maps start at $9.95. To build a map or for more information, go to: www.MyTopo.com.
