Description: OS OpenSpace Web-Map Builder allows you to build a map for your website through a four step process.
Step one allows you to decide on the size and location of your map. You can also add a search box if you are going to create an online map covering all of GB, so that users can search to a postcode or place name.
In step two you can add markers / pins to your map. You can also add content to these markers such as images, videos and website addresses.
If you are using OS OpenSpace to display a route, then step three of the web-map builder process does this. Simply click once at the start point and then double click to end your route. You can even reverse your routes through the click of a button.
If you need to make any changes to your map, you can always go back and make changes to any of the above steps.
When you are happy with your map, you can move on to step 4, where Web-Map Builder generates the JavaScript code for you. You will need a web editor that can word with JavaScript (most blog / web editors such as WordPress and Blogger can do this). All you then need to do is add in your API key number to the code and then copy and paste it into your web editor, for your customised online map. « Less |
