Geographical Information Management and Applications (GIMA)
GIMA is an program of four cooperating Dutch universities: University of Twente, Delft University of Technology, University Utrecht and Wageningen University.
The goal of the inter-university Master’s degree program GIMA is to provide students from the Netherlands and abroad with an academic, master-level education in state-of-the-art knowledge, skills, and tools of Geo-Information Science and Technology (GI S&T). The focus of the program - in existence since 2003 - is on the development of the competences needed in several settings: managing GI projects, systems, and organizations; developing innovative applications; and performing scientific research. Since GIMA is a 120 EC program, it enables both breadth and depth in the topics taught, such as network analysis, spatio-temporal modeling, 3D modeling, Web technology, and GI organization.
