2001 - Providence, Rhode Island was the setting for the ASPRS/ACSM "Practical Applications in the Geospatial Information Sciences" convention which hosted meetings for both ASPRS and ACSM and the New England states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
