WEB-based Geoinformation Data Warehouse Prototype is a WEB-GIS (or GIS Internet) decision, based on using of: reliable and productive ORDBMS Oracle 10g; universal and effective J2EE platform; simple and flexible XML-based technologies. It includes more than 40 thematic USA data layers and has the next basic functionalities:
-Use of a standard WEB browser for user applications.
-Accumulation, storage and search of the mixed information - spatial and nonspatial data (SAND) in a uniform database (recommended and current ORDBMS: Oracle 10g, but it is possible adopt GIS DW Prototype for use of noncommercial RDBMS, for example MySQL).
-High-quality multi-color 2D vector visualization of SAND with capabilities of zoom and pan and management of SAND layers on client and server levels.
-Realization of basic operations of the spatial analysis; Spatial Clustering.
-Dynamic search of the shortest routes ("routing") on the basis of network model.
-Quasi-real time SAND Subsystem.
