Switala, GISP, has been named a vice president. Based in the firm’s Philadelphia, Pa., office, Switala previously served as the director of homeland security and public safety, responsible for coordinating marketing, business development, project management, and support of geospatial technology projects for domestic and foreign government agencies. He has been instrumental in capturing and effectively managing multiple projects throughout the Middle East, facilitating GeoDecisions’ presence overseas.

Switala specializes in the application of information technology for homeland security and public safety projects. He provides professional facilitation services for visioning workshops, needs assessments, and strategic planning projects. He serves as project director or project manager for application development projects, guides the use of multiple geographic information system (GIS) platforms to provide holistic spatial and temporal analysis capabilities for project support, and provides broad support for GeoDecisions government practice operations.

He holds a bachelor of science in environmental design and ornamental horticulture from Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture and a master of landscape architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.
