Agenda and Featured Speakers Announced for 2010 Collaboration & Interoperability Congress

Experts from GE, Boeing, Ford Motor Company, Gulfstream Aerospace and the U.S. Army Highlight Speaker Lineup

LOVELAND, Colo., Jan. 19 — (PRNewswire) — Longview Advisors, organizers of the annual Collaboration & Interoperability Congress (CIC), today announced agenda topics and featured speakers for the 2010 event ( www.3Dcic.com) to be held May 3 to 5 in Estes Park, Colorado.

Now in its sixth year, the annual CIC brings together experts and executives from a wide range of discrete manufacturing industries, as well as representatives from government and defense communities, to discuss the latest issues and solutions in collaboration and interoperability. The three-day meeting of international professionals provides a world-class forum for exploring current challenges and opportunities for improving innovation in global product development.

Cecil New, Principal Technologist at General Electric, will present Aerospace Industry Guidelines for Implementing Interoperability Standards for Engineering Data. Cecil will provide strategic and tactical guidance for a common, standards-based information backbone which enables interoperability for product definition data throughout the product life cycle.

James Delaporte, PLM Project Manager at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, will discuss the strategy, standards and CAD/PDM tools his company used as the basis for its G650 airplane certification.

Rick Zuray, a Technical Principal at The Boeing Company, will present an overview of long-term data archival strategies and solutions to meet regulatory and user requirements for data to be accessible in a usable form throughout the operational life of a product. He also will discuss the various working groups and current activities in the Aerospace Industry to address this important topic.

Richard Riff, a Technical Fellow at Ford Motor Company, will describe how Ford has been able to leverage collaboration and PLM technology to help manage its way through the worst downturn in auto industry history. Ford continues to produce some of the most innovative new products in the industry, recently winning the most prestigious awards at the international auto show in Detroit.

Paul Huang, Materials Engineer at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, will discuss the reuse of 3D models in a Model Based "Enterprise" architecture among DoD platforms (air, land, ship). His presentation will outline its strategy and implementation of an enterprise-level system to manage interoperability of data from PDM/PLM to MRP/ERP and MES.
