NVision Solutions Surpasses Growth Expectations with 50-plus Employees

January 26, 2009 -- Bay Saint Louis, MS -- NVision Solutions, Inc. is pleased to announce its recent milestone of surpassing 50 employees. Since its incorporation in March 2002, NVision has experienced success and growth at a steady pace and in July of 2007 expanded its offices to the newly opened Stennis Technology Park in Hancock County between Mobile, AL and New Orleans, LA.

Joel Lawhead, NVision Solutions CIO, points to their new facility with its location adjacent to the NASA Stennis Space Center as part of the reason for their continued growth. Over the last year, NVision has nearly doubled in size adding 5 long-term contracts supporting more than 25 employees. Services for these contracts range from administrative services to software engineering and database development.

Founded in March 2002, NVision Solutions was established with personal loans from the co-founders and has grown from a 2-person, 100-square foot office to 3 regional offices and over 50 employees. The company has expanded their customer base to include prominent clients such as NASA, NOAA, FEMA, the Department of Interior, the Hancock County Port & Harbor Commission, and the U.S. Navy. Additionally, NVision continues to forge international alliances in Canada, France, and Japan

NVision's growth and success have been marked by a number of industry and government awards as well as independent press coverage. Since 2002, NVision has been honored with the Tibbetts Award for Excellence in federal research, Technology Innovator of the Year awards for both Mississippi and Louisiana, NASA’s Tech Briefs Award, and industry-leading ESRI awards including Business Partner of the Year and Special Achievement in GIS.

“It has been a blessing during these difficult economic times to be able to focus internally to improve our ability to meet the ever changing needs of our clients,” stated Craig Harvey, NVision COO and Executive Vice President. “Part of our philosophy is that the cutting edge isn’t a place to be, it’s a way of life. Now, during these slower times is the opportunity to make our services, our processes, our products, and our company even better.”
