(NASDAQ: SNPS), a world leader in software and IP for semiconductor design and manufacturing, announces that its 21st electronic design automation (EDA) Interoperability Forum will feature keynote speaker Mike Santarini, former EDA editor with EE Times and EDN Magazine, currently senior manager of Editorial services at Xilinx. His topic, "EDA is an Ecosystem: Interoperability and the Future of EDA."

WHO: The event is recommended for EDA tool developers, IC design engineers and IP providers to discuss the industry-critical topic of interoperability.

WHAT: The November 2008 Forum focuses on the latest developments in EDA interoperability and standards including:

    -- A Galaxy Custom Designer(TM) presentation by a Synopsys technical
       expert highlighting its open and standards-based environment, easy 3rd
       party tool integration and a high degree of interoperability.
    -- ClioSoft will talk about their experience integrating with Custom
       Designer.
    -- The latest update from the IPL Alliance on progress towards an
       interoperable PDK standard.
