DOCCENTER Launches Controlled Document Collaboration Solution at DEMOfall 08

SAN DIEGO and OMAHA, Neb., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- DOCCENTER, developers of document management service solutions, today launched DocLanding, which leverages software-as-a-service (SaaS) to allow individuals and small-to-medium sized businesses (SMBs) to easily centralize, manage, search, share and unshare their documents. DocLanding is an affordable, robust and easy-to-use solution that provides a platform for controlled collaboration at home, work and play. DocLanding was introduced to an elite audience at DEMOfall 08, an industry-recognized platform for debuting new technologies and products.

"DocLanding sets a new standard for document management because individuals and small businesses can now leverage the tools once only available to large organizations," said Tu Nguyen, vice president of information technology and architect of DocLanding. "DocLanding is a Web-based solution that allows users to control, access and share key documents with a few mouse clicks. Users no longer need to worry about sending confidential information or large attachments over email."

A DocLanding account can be set up in minutes. After scanning or uploading documents, DocLanding allows users to electronically file, search and retrieve information, and share it with virtually anyone, anytime and anywhere. DocLanding is designed for the average user, leveraging an intuitive graphical user interface. Additionally, users can customize their POINTs or Personal Information Terminals, to reflect the way they organize and classify information. With one password, a user can access their files and documents, as well as the POINTs of others.

DocLanding is the only Web solution offering an annotation tool with the ability to black out or redact sensitive words or phrases plus features such as document deskewing and despeckling. Additional security features include the ability to apply watermarks and to control viewing and check out privileges. Even financial and health documents can be confidentially shared and accessed. DocLanding also allows the preview of many popular file types, such as the Microsoft 2007 Office Suite and Photoshop, without having the software installed. Documents can also be "locked" to prevent accidental deletion or movement.

"I chose DOCCENTER to launch DocLanding at DEMOfall 08 due to its innovative use of the SaaS model," said Chris Shipley, executive producer of the DEMO conferences. "SaaS levels the playing field by allowing individuals, SMBs and emerging businesses to have access to the tools used by large organizations and companies. DocLanding redefines document management, making the functions portable, secure and simple."
