County Officials in NJ and PA to Participate in Pictometry Technology Seminars, July 9-10

Montgomery County Department of Public Safety and Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission to host

ROCHESTER, NY – July 3, 2008 – Pictometry International Corp., a leading provider of georeferenced aerial image libraries, whose proprietary technology is used globally to capture oblique image libraries, announced today that it will be holding two day-long Regional Technology Seminars for county officials and government agencies in New Jersey and Pennsylvania involved with Public Safety/9-11 and GIS/assessment.

The seminars, which are scheduled for July 9 (Public Safety) and July 10 (Planning, Assessment, Transportation and GIS), are being hosted by the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety in Conshohocken, PA and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission in Philadelphia. Each session features presentations from several notable Pictometry users including David Brown, Deputy Director of the Montgomery County Public Safety Field Services Division and Barry Mescolotto, Acting Director of Assessments for the City of Philadelphia’s Board of Revision of Taxes (BRT). Brown will demonstrate how his department uses the Pictometry technology for search and rescue grids and also for different applications relating to the Limerick Nuclear Plant. Mescolotto will show how the City of Philadelphia transformed its assessment appeals process using Pictometry oblique imagery solutions.

Each seminar will also showcase new Pictometry products and technologies including Pictometry Online, a new web-based solution which uses the speed and convenience of the Internet to provide users with access to Pictometry oblique images and measuring software. Also featured will be Pictometry AccuPlus®, a new product which combines three varieties of imagery in a cost-effective capture process. Other featured products include Pictometry ChangeFindr®, a product which uses a side-by-side comparison of oblique imagery to help determine changes to a property over time; and Pictometry 3D imagery for law enforcement; and an environmental application called Pictometry Eco-View®.

“Pictometry technologies can save time, dollars, resources and most importantly lives,” said Dante Pennacchia, Pictometry’s Chief Marketing Officer, adding “every day, our technologies make a meaningful difference.” The Regional Technology Seminars are intended to bring new and existing Pictometry users together to share experiences on how to maximize the use of these technologies to increase operating efficiencies. “Most importantly,” added Pennacchia, “these regional seminars give us a chance to hear from users so we can continue to innovate and provide meaningful solutions.”

Attendees for these seminars currently include government officials from 18 counties throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Pictometry Technology Seminars are held throughout the year in several regions across the U.S. For more information on regional seminars, call 888-771-9714.
