Schneider Electric Announces Launch of ArcFM Fiber Manager XI

Fort Collins, Colo., August 2, 2022Schneider Electric, the global leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, today announced the launch of ArcFM Fiber Manager XI, the premier GIS-based network inventory management system for outside plant communications networks. Fiber Manager XI is built on ArcGIS Pro, powered by the ArcGIS Utility Network and extends ArcFM Editor XI to meet today’s challenges of scale, data quality, network analysis and visualization.

Fiber Manager XI delivers fiber optic network information in a seamless data fabric, supporting mapping, planning, designing and managing of fiber optic networks and the underground structure networks that house them. The application’s focus is simplifying the creation, editing, validation and interpretation of complex fiber optic equipment hierarchies and connections.

“The telecom industry is experiencing a major transformation, and GIS data is at the heart of this shift,” Jay Stinson, Vice President, Digital Grid, said. “Fiber Manager XI produces a significant evolution in GIS-based fiber optic network management, enabling users to reimagine how they manage and leverage GIS data across their organization.”

Fiber Manager XI delivers advancements in three key areas to optimize ArcGIS for communications services providers.

  • Robust equipment visualization: enabling users to quickly interpret and understand increasingly complex network data with maps, equipment details and multi-platform visualizations.
  • Editing productivity: accelerating data authoring and editing with tools crafted for comprehensive creation and management of communications networks in the ArcGIS Pro environment.
  • Advanced network intelligence: allowing analysts and operators to gather key insights faster with network tracing, fiber availability analysis, optical loss calcuations and outage identification.

“Fiber Manager XI expands the capabilities of the ArcFM Solution XI Series, which can simplify and optimize the work of communications services providers while bridging them to the Utility Network in unison with their schedule, budget and scope,” Stinson said. “Schneider Electric continues to innovate the tools within the Solution Series to support the fast-paced digital transformation of utilities.”

ArcFM Fiber Manager XI is an essential component of Schneider Electric’s ArcFM Solution XI Series, which is an ecosystem of applications focused on streamlining the design and construction workflow, enabling utilities to get work done more efficiently. ArcFM Designer XI, ArcFM Editor XI, ArcFM Web XI and ArcFM Mobile XI fill out the rest of the ecosystem offering the most comprehensive utility GIS solution available today. The result - streamlined workflows, minimized use of paper and a reduced work backlog equipping utilities to address the challenges facing today’s digital utility.
