Irvine, CA – CGTech will demonstrate the latest version of VERICUT at WESTEC/AeroDef at the Long Beach Convention Center from November 16 - 18th in booth 1337. VERICUT is the industry standard for simulating CNC machines to detect errors, potential collisions, and areas for improvement in traditional milling and turning machines, as well as in composites. VERICUT reduces or entirely eliminates the manual prove-out process to save time while producing high quality parts.
WESTEC/AeroDef brings together one of the leading California manufacturing tradeshows with the opportunity to access to the latest technologies in aerospace and defense manufacturing. The joint tradeshow gives attendees the opportunity to learn from aerospace and defense experts and network with leaders in medical, industrial machinery, automotive, fabricated metal, and more.
VERICUT 9.2.1 improves speed for collision detection and overall performance. The latest version also brings improvements to optimization, cutting graphs, and the ability to import cutting tools with intelligent performance data. Changes have been made to Graphs and Tool Use windows so users can view different combinations of Cutting Conditions and Force Conditions in real time with simulations, allowing them to spot potential flaws and inefficiencies.
Don’t miss CGTech’s presentations at the event:
During the WESTEC Knowledge Bar, CGTech is presenting on the topic: Supercharge CNC Program Optimization by Leveraging Verification Software. The presentation covers common optimization strategies, the value of optimizing feed rates in NC programs, and why a verification software based on comprehensive cutting analysis can produce superior optimization results in time and money savings.
CGTech’s Composites Product Manager, Andre Colvin, will also be presenting at AeroDef: The Rise of Robots in Manufacturing on November 17, 2021 from 3:10 – 3:35pm. The presentation explores different composites processes that currently take advantage of the skill sets robots offer, the pros and cons of using robotics in composites, future projections, and why we should embrace them in automated composites.
“The changes we’ve made to view tool data and changing cutting conditions while running a simulation give users new ways to visualize machining in order to uncover inefficiencies and potential problem areas in the NC program,” says Gene Granata, VERICUT Product manager. “Users can adjust their strategies and optimize their NC program before running the program on their machines.”
Force is a physics-based module that analyzes and optimizes NC programs according to cutting conditions based on stock material, cutting tools, and current machining conditions. Force allows users to clearly see underutilized cutting conditions, excessive forces, metal removal rates, power, torque, and tool deflections. NC programs optimized with Force offer huge savings, reducing machining times up to 25% or more while extending tool life and performance. Users can set a target Chip Thickness with combinations of machining limits such as maximum cutting forces, spindle power, and maximum tool deflection or bending.
