Adeneo Embedded and Atmel® will showcase an Android wearable device demo - June 2-5, 2015
Taipei, Taiwan - June 1, 2015 -- Adeneo Embedded, a leading global company in embedded software development, announces its presence at Computex in Taipei, Taiwan. In partnership with Atmel®, Adeneo Embedded will be demonstrating a wearable solution based on Android and the Atmel® Cortex-A5 based MPU with SmartConnect® Bluetooth communications.
By collaborating with Atmel®, Adeneo Embedded provides its expertise in Android OS integration, Bluetooth™ communication and mobile application development with Atmel’s latest SAMA5® processor architecture and SmartConnect® solutions for wireless connectivity.
Come visit us at the Grand Hyatt Taipei hotel where Anthony Pellerin, Adeneo Embedded Technical Director, together with Atmel will be presenting this Android-based wearable solution. This application demonstrates common wearable scenarios such as a compass, watch, slide show app, battery gauge, and the “ring my mobile” or “ring my badge” app, each of which integrate mobile-to-wearable wireless communication through Bluetooth™.
“Adeneo Embedded and Atmel® have been collaborating for more than 10 years to help embedded device manufacturers successfully bring to market smart, connected and multimedia embedded devices based on ARM architecture with Android, Linux or Windows Embedded technologies” said Anthony Pellerin, Technical Director at Adeneo Embedded. “With the collaboration on this new solution based on Android with Atmel SAMA5® and SmartConnect® technologies, Adeneo Embedded and Atmel® allow wearable device manufacturers to improve time to market and development costs of smart objects for the IoT market”.
“The Smart Badge is the first demonstrator that leverages Atmel’s industry-leading technologies. With the Adeneo partnership, we are able to showcase different Android applications that simplify software development for wearable applications,” said Thomas Aubin, ARM MPU Product Marketing Manager, Atmel Corporation. “With wearable devices ranging from low- to high-end solutions, designers are looking for a demonstrator that can fit various requirements. We are excited to team with Adeneo Embedded to bring the first of many reference design demonstrators to the rapidly growing wearable market.”
