Hydro 2015 Call for Papers

Mar 13, 2015 -- Abstracts of papers for presentation at the International Federation of Hydrographic Societies’ 23rd conference and exhibition, to be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from 23-25 November, are now invited by the organisers, The Hydrographic Society of South Africa.

With its theme, Defining the Extent and Ownership of Maritime Real-Estate for Development in Africa, the three-day event is expected to attract a wide global audience drawn from all sectors of the hydrographic and related professions.  Supported by a major exhibition of equipment and services in addition to in-situ workshops and local technical visits, main conference emphasis will be on addressing the technical and social advancement of the hydrographic industry to suit global needs while bolstering developments appropriate to Africa.

Seven scheduled topics are African Case Studies, Aiding Resource Access, Capacity Building, Data Management, Education & Training, Maritime Boundaries, and New Technology & Equipment Positioning for Surface and Sub-Surface Applications.  Abstracts of not more than 300 words on any of the designated topics or related issues are required by no later than 1 April.  Submissions should be forwarded to www.hydro2015.org/programme-abstracts.
