Prescient to Debut Revolutionary Integrated Architecture, Engineering and Construction Platform at 2013 AIA National Convention

Platform provides architects, engineers, developers and contractors a way to build faster, better, greener and cheaper than traditional framing methods

AIA Convention 2013

DENVER--June 11, 2013--Prescient, an innovative software and structural system manufacturing company, will debut its integrated and standardized architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) platform at the 2013 American Institute of Architecture (AIA) National Convention, June 20-23in Denver.

Prescient’s platform streamlines the AEC process for multi-unit buildings such as apartments, condos, senior and assisted living communities, hotels, and student and military dormitories. The company’s proprietary software integrates the design and engineering of its framing system with project plans during the architectural design process and then communicates a precise bill of materials back to Prescient’s production facility for design-to-production manufacturing. Prescient then delivers and installs the panelized structural system for a turnkey, fully integrated solution that saves both time and money.

Prescient’s manufacturing process employs robotic welding to achieve high throughput efficiencies and very tight tolerances, something not typical in the construction industry.

“We believe our platform will truly revolutionize our industry,” said John Vanker, CEO and co-founder of Prescient. “Prescient has created an integrated platform that seamlessly combines engineering, architecture, manufacturing and construction, and we employ state-of-the-art manufacturing technology to ensure precision and quality in our panelization process,” he added.

For the AIA convention Prescient has built a two-story mockup of its framing system. Show attendees will be able to see video presentations of each aspect of the integrated platform including design, engineering, manufacturing, installation and the system’s innovative software applications. The team from Prescient, including the founders, will be available for presentations and questions.

Prescient completed its first Denver project, the Boulder Street Apartments, in March. The company is starting its second project, University Station at University Avenue and I-25, in July.

“We have to give a lot of credit to the two project teams and developers of these first two buildings,” said Vanker. “They embraced innovation and advanced technology. We are now getting tremendous response and our pipeline of new projects is filling quickly.”

Prescient can be found at the 2013 AIA National Convention in booth #2713.
