Mark Doherty to participate in interactive discussions at the FutureGov Forum in Edmonton, Alberta

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., June 7, 2013 — (PRNewswire) — Intergraph® CTO Mark Doherty and senior government IT leaders from across Asia, Europe, Australia and Canada are gathering next week in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, for the FutureGov Forum to discuss challenges and solutions in the government sector. FutureGov enables participants to network with national and international peers and partake in industry discussions within three key streams: Transformation, Efficiency and Innovation.

Sticking with this year's track themes, Mark's roundtable discussion will address geographic information systems (GIS). Some topics in his discussion include: leveraging GIS for citizen engagement, mobile applications, business and technical challenges to achieving a common operating picture, and some hidden truths of open data. Mark will be joined by Mr. Laurence Millar, former Chief Information Officer of New Zealand and current Editor-at-large for FutureGov magazine, as co-host.

Long-standing partner of Intergraph and official sponsor and host of this year's FutureGov Forum, the City of Edmonton, will also be presenting at the event.

"Intergraph Canada is pleased to be able to support the FutureGov Forum and contribute to conversations with government leaders about the continuing challenges in the industry," said Rob Patten, Vice President for Intergraph Security, Government and Infrastructure, Canada. "We anticipate FutureGov being a significant event for Intergraph."
