Ramat Gan Israel – March 10, 2013. VisionMap Ltd, leading provider of aerial survey and mapping systems, has released a new version of its A3 LightSpeed image processing suite.
The new version includes several upgrades and new features. First is a new and improved task management mechanism, used for parallelization of processing computations. This new task management enhances system scalability and performance. LightSpeed 3.2 was tested on extremely large projects, while performing AT on millions of frames simultaneously as several processing blocks.
LightSpeed’s user interface now includes additional user functionality. For example, users can more intuitively process imagery from multiple flights within the same project. The measurement of GCPs has also been simplified and made more intuitive.
Finally, image enhancement options within LightSpeed have been expanded to include useful tools such as sharpen and noise reduction.
“LightSpeed has to deal with an incredibly large amount of imagery, which only grows as our customers take on larger and larger projects” says Adi Gozes, A3 Product Manager. “Just this year, a customer captured around 5,000,000 frames in one project. Our latest LightSpeed release is designed to better support the vast amount of imagery captured by the super-efficient A3 Digital Mapping Camera.”
