Gehry Technologies Recognized for Excellence in Digital Practice by ACADIA

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- Oct 23, 2012 -- Gehry Technologies (GT), a global leader in applying technology to building industry challenges, today announces that the Association for Computer-Aided Design in Architecture ( ACADIA) has selected Gehry Technologies as the recipient of its 2012 Award for Excellence in Digital Practice, acknowledging the firm's contributions to the larger discourse surrounding the use of digital tools in architecture. This award recognizes creative design work that advances the discipline of architecture through the development and use of digital media. Inaugurated in 1998, the ACADIA Award of Excellence represents recognition, by colleagues worldwide, of consistent contributions and impact on the field of architectural computing.

"We are pleased and proud to receive this award from ACADIA," says Matt Reid, senior vice president of marketing for GT. "The selection of Gehry Technologies by our industry peers emphasizes the importance of developing digital technologies and collaboration platforms that improve building design and construction quality, and facilitate better project communication and cooperation."

ACADIA's awards are given in each of three categories: Innovative Research, Excellence in Digital Practice, and Innovative Academic Program. Dennis Shelden, co-founder and CTO of Gehry Technologies, accepted the award at ACADIA's annual conference on October 20th in San Francisco at the California College of the Arts.
