June 12, 2012 -- 3D Laser Mapping has appointed Dean Polley to the position of Regional Director for Africa. Dean, who has a broad experience of the international IT industry spanning more than 25 years, will manage a growing African operation based at a newly opened regional headquarters in Pretoria. This expanded facility, located in the prestigious lakeside area of Centurion, will provide local sales and support for both existing and potential users of 3D Laser Mapping’s mine monitoring solution, SiteMonitor and the mobile mapping system, StreetMapper.
“This appointment, coinciding as it does with the opening of a new base, will really strengthen our position in Africa,” commented Jon Chicken, Managing Director of 3D Laser Mapping. “We can offer frontline support for our existing users and drive forward sales of laser scanner solutions across the region. Dean will head up a growing team providing guidance and vision for a period of significant expansion.”
Dean, who describes himself as a consummate senior executive driven by successful goal achievements, is an expert in change management, infrastructure development and human capital management. He has spent a considerable proportion of his career in the Middle East as well as holding positions with organisations such as Hewlett Packard.
“This is a really exciting time to be joining 3D Laser Mapping and I am really looking forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead,” commented Dean. “I am sure my experience and expertise will prove invaluable in driving the business forward and developing new prospects and solutions.”
