GSA Exercises Baker’s Option Period; Contract Extended Through 2017

PITTSBURGH — (BUSINESS WIRE) — February 2, 2012 — Michael Baker Jr., Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE Amex: BKR), announced today that the General Services Administration (GSA) has exercised Baker's Option Period 2, extending the term of its Consolidated Multiple Award Schedule, Contract No. GS-00F-0032M, for an additional five-year period from February 1, 2012 to January 31, 2017.

Under its Consolidated Schedule Contract, Baker provides Professional Engineering Services (PES), Environmental Services, Information Technology Services (IT), Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services (MOBIS), Facilities Maintenance and Management Services (03FAC), and Construction Management Services throughout the continental United States and overseas. Baker also offers a number of GIS/GIT mapping products available though its schedule.

Baker's Consolidated Schedule Contract can be accessed by any federal agency, D.C. government, various international organizations, and state and local governments (for certain GSA Programs only, such as Disaster Recovery and Cooperative IT Purchasing). Baker generated more than $100 million in revenues during the first ten years of the Consolidated Schedule Contract period that ended January 31, 2012.
