Valtus and Surdex form strategic partnership to enhance aerial imagery offering within the US

Calgary, Alberta and Chesterfield, MO  August 25, 2011

Valtus Imagery Services, a division of North West Geomatics Ltd. and Surdex Corporation announced today that they have entered into a partnership whereby Surdex will both supply as well as distribute data through the Valtus delivery system.

As with all other datasets contained within the Valtus library, data supplied by Surdex will be accessible through Valtus’ Views: Spatial Data Access Subscription, an ArcXML and WMS service, allowing for real-time streaming of the imagery directly to the user’s desktop, as well as a static download from the Spatial Data Store.

“We are excited to have Surdex on board as a strategic partner”, said Tammy Peterson, director of partner strategy and support at Valtus. “Their expertise and reputation within the geospatial services profession will greatly enhance not only the quality of the US data available within our library, but as an authorized reseller, Surdex customers will enjoy a heightened level of service by having a knowledgeable resource assisting them in designing a complete solution for their raster data needs .”

“Surdex is very enthusiastic about this new partnership with Valtus”, said Craig Molander, Senior Vice President of Business Development for Surdex Corporation. “This will allow us to provide our clients with additional services which include data hosting, data resale, and access to geospatial data through the joint offerings of the two organizations”.
