Intrado and Intergraph Combine Expertise to Bring New Advancements to Public Safety

Industry Leaders to Integrate Next-Generation 9-1-1 Data Applications and Computer-Aided Dispatch

LONGMONT, Colo. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — August 8, 2011 — Intrado, Inc., a subsidiary of West Corporation and a leading provider of 9-1-1 technology solutions, and Intergraph, the leading global provider of incident management solutions, today announced an agreement to integrate next-generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) data applications with Intergraph’s I/CAD computer-aided dispatch (CAD) solution.

Through this collaboration, a suite of Intrado® Advanced 9-1-1SM data services will be sent directly to Intergraph I/CAD workstations located in public safety answering points (PSAPs) across the United States. This direct flow of information will enable dispatchers to quickly make first responders more aware and ready to act in an emergency situation prior to arriving on the scene.

“With PSAPs increasingly making the move to NG9-1-1 it’s important that call-takers and dispatchers have a fast and simple way to share critical information with first responders,” said Joe Hernandez, senior vice president for Intrado. “Intrado and Intergraph are working together to do just that - putting text messages, cell phone pictures, video clips, telematics information, gunshot detection and other advanced data at the fingertips of emergency communications professionals right when they need it.”

As part of this agreement, Intergraph has been certified to join the Intrado A9-1-1SM Alliance Member Program, a managed service program designed to upgrade the capabilities of 9-1-1 centers by delivering a broader set of life-saving features. The program creates an open marketplace for companies to significantly improve 9-1-1 responsiveness and throughput by integrating their solutions with Intrado, using open standard interfaces.

“Our partnership with Intrado shows our dedication to delivering NG9-1-1 solutions that facilitate a faster, safer and more efficient response in emergency incidents,” said Bill Campbell, senior vice president, Intergraph Americas, SG&I and vice-chairman of the 911 Industry Alliance. “Working closely with Intrado, we will provide PSAPs with a CAD environment that incorporates all aspects of call control and dispatch combined with the ability to accept multimedia, alarms and a diverse range of other data applications that will improve emergency response.”

Intrado leads the public safety industry in NG9-1-1 deployments with approximately 300 systems deployed or in progress. To learn more about the Intrado A9-1-1 Alliance Member Program, please contact Intrado today at Email Contact or 1.855.564.6267.
