Intermap Makes NEXTMap® Dataset Available To Esri® Premium World Elevation Service Subscribers

Intermap selected as first partner for new Esri World Elevation Service

SAN DIEGO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — July 12, 2011Intermap, a leading provider of 3D terrain information and geospatial solutions, today announces that Esri has selected the Company’s NEXTMap® database to serve as a core component of its soon to be released World Elevation Service (WES). The new integration will make Intermap’s leading-edge geographic information system (GIS) data the first commercial content available to subscribers of Esri’s Premium WES.

Esri’s WES, unveiled yesterday at their annual International User Conference, is an aggregation of 3D terrain information available on a global basis. NEXTMap data available to premium subscribers will allow users to perform view shed, line of sight, slope analysis and other common GIS analysis functions. Intermap’s NEXTMap dataset will also be available to users of Esri’s ArcGIS® software.
