Majenta recently signed an agreement with the privately owned, North Carolina based, 3D software provider, Geomagic, to resell the leading reverse engineering and 3D inspection software packages, Geomagic Studio® and Geomagic Qualify®. Majenta offers extensive expertise in the field and will now offer these solutions in the UK.

Chris Dukes, Business Development Manager at Majenta commented: “Majenta continues to expand its product portfolio of engineering IT solutions in line with customer and market requirements. The addition of Geomagic to our product range, allows us to address a variety of customer needs, from the reverse engineering of a physical part for repair, replacement or improvement purposes, to the acceleration of the concept design work-flow where an initial clay or physical model can quickly be captured and replicated in 3D CAD. We also see a need for fast 3D non-contact inspection and the accurate comparison between CAD model and scanned-as-built for FAI, in-line inspection and quality control.”
Geomagic has been awarded five patents, with several patents pending for its specialist technologies, and supports all major 3D digitisers, cameras and scanners. Geomagic Studio directly integrates with leading mechanical CAD packages, and allows parametric CAD models to be quickly created (using Geomagic’s Parametric Exchange technololgy), complete with model trees that are editable in CAD.
Gerd Schwaderer, Business Development Director at Geomagic EMEA commented: “We are pleased to partner with Majenta, who offer extensive skills and expertise. This will help us expand even further in to the UK market, and working together, we look forward to helping customers in the enhancement of their products and overall time to market”.
