Discrete Element Modeling (DEM) Demonstrations

Engineers across a broad spectrum of industries increasingly use DEM simulation tools to analyze the granular motion and interaction of solid particles such as Aggregates, Sand, Rocks, Food particles, Metal fragments, Tablets, Capsules and Slurries. DEM allows the tracking and interaction between every particle in a numerically efficient manner, the modeling of contact forces, and energy transfer due to collisions and also conductive and radioactive heat transfer between particles.

If you are interested in learning more about DEM, see live demonstrations at the STAR American Conference 2011 in Chicago, June 28-29.
