Washington, DC – May 09, 2011 Innovative geospatial research and application technologies are the brightest spotlights at COM.Geo conference. One of COM.Geo 2011 spotlights is Mobile Geospatial - Digital Earth on Mobile Phones and iPads. There will be more than 40 presentations/talks related to the mobile geospatial at COM.Geo 2011 conference which will be held on May 23-25, Washington, DC.

NASA World Wind program manager Patrick Hogan will deliver a keynote “NASA World Wind: Infrastructure for Spatial Data”, OGC Chief Architect George Percivall will deliver a keynote “GeoWeb on Mobile Internet”, Microsoft Senior Director of Developer and Platform Evangelism for U.S. Public Sector Dan Kasun will deliver a keynote “Technology Trends and Industry Innovation”, and U.S. Federal Communications Commission GIO Michael Byrne will deliver a keynote “National Broadband Map”. All of them are related to mobile geospatial.

Beside those keynotes, MobileGIS, NAVTEQ, Hasso-Plattner-Institute, 1Spatial Group Limited, Skyhook Wireless, etc. will have talks in OGC workshop. Microsoft will have a workshop on “Windows Phone 7” at the conference.  Furthermore, more than 40 mobile geospatial related R&A talks will be presented in paper sessions and tech talk/demo talk sessions.
