Company to showcase its latest version of GeoExpress® software

SEATTLE, Wash. — April 28, 2011 — LizardTech®, a division of Celartem Inc. and a leading provider of software solutions for managing and distributing geospatial content, will be exhibiting in booth #307 at the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) 2011 Annual Conference in Milwaukee, Wis. next week, held at the Frontier Airlines Center.

The company will showcase GeoExpress 8, which enables geospatial professionals to compress and manipulate satellite and aerial imagery. “We look forward to demonstrating GeoExpress 8 at ASPRS next week,” said Jon Skiffington, director of product management. “With the launch we introduced the MrSID® Generation 4 ( MG4™) format for compression of raster data, adding support for multispectral data, alpha channels and improved mosaicking, and I’m excited to talk about the many benefits this brings to the photogrammetry community.”

In addition to showcasing LizardTech’s entire line of geospatial software, staff members will be participating in various presentations throughout the conference. On May 2nd from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in room 202D of the Frontier Airlines Center, Robert Parker will host a User Group Meeting. The meeting is an open forum to discuss LizardTech’s various geospatial software products and the many benefits they bring to the photogrammetry community. Those interested in attending the User Group Meeting can still register by emailing Email Contact or calling 206.652.5211.

In that same location, on Wednesday, May 4th, Jon Skiffington will conduct a presentation titled “Advances in the MrSID Technology” from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This presentation will detail the ease of using LizardTech’s products to compress and manipulate multispectral, hyperspectral and LiDAR datasets, as well as traditional RGB and grayscale imagery. Attendees will learn how to compress, reproject, color balance, and export their imagery for rapid delivery over the web.

LizardTech’s other geospatial products include LiDAR Compressor software for turning giant point cloud data sets into efficient MrSID files, Spatial Express® software for storage, and Express Server® software for high-performance delivery and distribution. Product demonstrations and more information will be available in booth #307 in the Exhibit Hall.
