FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — March 24, 2011 — Rand Worldwide®, a global leader in providing technology solutions to organizations with engineering design and information technology requirements, announced that its courseware division, ASCENT- Center for Technical Knowledge, released five training guides for Autodesk 2012 software:
- AutoCAD 2012 Update for AutoCAD 2011 Users
- AutoCAD 2012 Update for AutoCAD 2011 Users AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT 2012 Fundamentals
- AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT 2012 Essentials
- Autodesk Inventor 2012 Introduction to Solid Modeling
- Autodesk Inventor 2012 Advanced Part Modeling
As in previous courseware releases, ASCENT once again has released a training guide that focuses solely on the enhancements between AutoCAD 2011 and AutoCAD 2012. The topics in AutoCAD 2012 Update for AutoCAD 2011 Users range from general improvements and command enhancements to new 3D modeling techniques and a customization workflow.
The AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT 2012 Fundamentals training guide provides new AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT users with the skills required to successfully create 2D drawings. The guide helps users understand the workspace and interface, as well as teaches users how to use basic drawing, editing, and viewing tools, and how to add text, hatching and dimensions to a file. In addition, more advanced techniques are covered to further refine a user’s skill sets.
The AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT 2012 Essentials training guide is a sub-set of the AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT 2012 Fundamentals training guide. To provide flexibility for instructors and students, the AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT 2012 Fundamentals courseware is divided into two parts that can be taken independently; this training guide is the first of the two guides and enables users to create a basic 2D drawing in AutoCAD.
The Autodesk Inventor 2012 Introduction to Solid Modeling training guide instructs users in best usage approaches for parametric design philosophy through a hands-on, practice-intensive curriculum. This guide is one of four Inventor training guides written to cover topics required in the Autodesk Inventor certification examinations.
Autodesk Inventor 2012 Advanced Part Modeling is the second in a series of courses on Inventor from ASCENT. The goal of this training guide is to build on the skills acquired in the Inventor Introduction to Solid Modeling course by taking students to a higher level of productivity when designing part models in Inventor.
