Congratulations to all 3 finalists its was a very hard decision making process to finally choose Ben. Ben walks away with a beefy HP Z200 Workstation courtesy of competition sponsor Hewlett Packard Australia, and the opportunity to work with some of the leading figures in the automotive design industry to refine his frame design before manufacture.

And then there were 3…..

Congratulations to Chris Peters, Simon Teed and Ben Murphy. These 3 are the finalists for the first stage of the superbike project. Judging is now under way to see who will be the outright winner and have their frame become the basis of our superbike.
Thank you to all who have entered in this first stage and don’t despair as there are going to be many more stages that you can have another go submitting an idea.
Once a winner is announced we will load up the winning frame for stage 2

So where are we heading?

To all who have entered this exciting project it has been a very difficult decision to choose a clear winner. As a team of 3 judges we have seen merits in all the designs and wish to be true to the innovative nature of the project, so have decided to give 3 of the designs a chance to be the ultimate winner. Over the coming days 3 people will get an email from us asking them to work on some aspects of their design to then be again judged as winner of this first stage. As Christmas and New year are now upon us and some of our team will be on holidays the winner will be announced in January 2011.

Thanks to all the designs submitted and your patience is waiting for the winner to be announced. In the background we at “the electric superbike project” have been working to secure battery technology, tyres, front forks and other aspects of the project. Once the winner is announces we will be loading up an updated model for all to download for the next phase of the project and look forward to some more interesting deigns. there will also be another great prize worth several thousand dollars up for grabs in phase 2 for everyone to have a chance to win.

While we wait with excitement for the winner to be announced check out this impressive TTXGP bike and its specifications. If you want to see more check out http://www.mavizen.com/ttx02/ttx02_specifications.html

Will our bike look as cool as this? Only time will tell…

Last weekend entry madness…

Admin | November 12th, 2010 - 6:35 pm

Anyone would think there is only 3 days left or something?

I like the look. What do you think?

Very Cool Simon Teed

The final weekend of submissions… Nov 15th deadline. + More fun on the track

Admin | November 12th, 2010 - 3:15 pm

It is the final weekend of submissions for the frame part of this project and tube based designs are understandably popular. Take Daniel Reynolds design using known proven geometry and insuring it fits the motors and leaves ample space for batteries etc. Great work.

Check out more fun on the track with America’s first TTX Grand Prix Electric Superbike race the winner using the same motors we have for our bike…

LESS COULD BE BEST. Less than a week to go!!

Chris Peters from Victoria Australia has submitted what could be one of the most interesting suggestions to date. His idea is a box section alloy frame using simple geometry and form, but also providing excellent strength and weight. Its ticking all the right boxes…..
Innovation is name of the game here and ultimately the winner of this stage of the project will come from something outside of the box or using conventional concept with innovative approach.

Lets keep the designs coming
