Aylesbury, 22nd February 2011 - Esri UK, the country's leading provider of geographic information systems (GIS) technology, is to hold its third annual Developer Conference, on Wednesday 2nd March, 2011. The conference gives the developer community the opportunity to attend technology sessions and collaborative discussions, meet, network and discuss the latest advances in using GIS.

Taking place at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole, the free one- day event is open to software developers who are interested in finding out more about spatial mapping, ArcGIS 10.1 as well as Esri UK's recently launched Virtual Training courses.

Speaking at the conference Charles Kennelly, CTO of Esri UK, will be sharing his insights into the importance of GIS functionality as well as how to make the most out of ArcGIS software. "Esri UK’s developer hub community plays a crucial role in our progression and its feedback is extremely important to us. The conference is a great way to learn about Esri's future plans and find out how other developers are using GIS technology and services"

Hosted by Pete Wilkinson, Head of Technical Solutions, the conference will comprise a number of presentations, demonstrations and collaborative discussions. For the first time this year the conference will also be holding an 'Unconference', giving developers the chance to present to their peers.
