ERDAS Attending Australasian Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Conference

Norcross, GA — September 15, 2010 — ERDAS announces that it is attending the 15 Australasian Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Conference (ARSPC) in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia, September 13-17, 2010.

“This conference provides a great opportunity to communicate with current and future ERDAS customers in our valued Australasian market,” said Dr. Dipak Paudyal, Australasia Regional Manager, ERDAS. “We are excited to emphasis ERDAS’ commitment to the local geospatial community, sharing information about our remote sensing and photogrammetry products, and collecting feedback on our current offering.”

ERDAS is showcasing its remote sensing and enterprise server software, which includes IMAGINE Objective, LPS eATE and ERDAS APOLLO.

IMAGINE Objective, an add-on to ERDAS IMAGINE, emulates human visual processing by combining inferential learning with expert knowledge in a true object-oriented feature extraction environment. IMAGINE Objective also encapsulates vector processing operators to produce GIS-ready data with minimal post processing.

LPS eATE is an add-on module for LPS that produces exceptionally accurate digital terrain surfaces by utilizing a mixture of photogrammetric and computer vision algorithms to derive clouds of terrain points from imagery. LPS eATE enables complete use of all spectral data, edge constrained processing, multiple ray processing and extensive attribution in LAS output files.

ERDAS APOLLO is customizable, equipped to fully understand, competently manage and rapidly serve an organization’s large volumes of geospatial data. ERDAS APOLLO implements an out-of-the box Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), that provides a publish, find and bind workflow for any data type.
