Océ Adds More Canon Products, Providing Compact Productivity That is Dependable and Easy to Use

Businesses of all sizes can now benefit from the imageRUNNER 2500 Series of multifunctional products

TRUMBULL, CONN. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — August 23, 2010 — Océ, an international leader in digital document management, today announced that Océ North America Document Printing Systems has begun selling the Canon imageRUNNER 2545/2545i/2535/2535i/2530/2525 Series. These imageRUNNER models, for small- to mid-size workgroups, provide a durable, low-maintenance and simple solution to common office needs and increased productivity in easily managed MFPs.

“As the next step in the Canon and Océ relationship, this introduction advances our progress in becoming the top presence in the printing industry,” said John Reilly, President, Océ North America, Document Printing Systems. “This series enables us to provide our customers with an expanded range of devices that use the best printing products and technology available in the market.”

The imageRUNNER 2500 Series adds to Océ’s growing portfolio of Canon products and gives customers a streamlined, cost-effective solution that combines excellent durability and simple operation. In addition, these models provide IT and business administrators with ease of management, regardless of equipment location, while delivering a robust set of features to end users.

The imageRUNNER 2545/2535 models deliver up to 45 pages per minute (ppm) and 35 ppm (letter), respectively, with two versions available at each speed level, including the “i” models, which feature PCL, PostScript 3 (emulated) and Color Send technology. The imageRUNNER 2530/2525 models, delivering up to 30 ppm and 25 ppm (letter), respectively, offer end users the flexibility of network printing with Canon’s exclusive UFR II LT technology and can be upgraded with a variety of options, including PCL and PostScript 3 (emulated).

The imageRUNNER 2500 Series offers businesses a practical blend of simplicity and function, without sacrificing high quality performance. Built on the Canon imageCHIP LITE platform, the models enable high productivity with ample RAM, USB 2.0 connectivity and a large, high-contrast monochrome touch screen user interface (UI). The models further enhance productivity with fast scanning at 45/34 ipm and 35/25 ipm, respectively, in black & white and color. Furthermore, Color Send technology enables fast document distribution to email, fax, FTP, SMB file servers and USB memory devices for easy integration into users’ document workflows.

For greater durability, the imageRUNNER 2500 Series features a newly designed engine unit. The innovative design ensures parts durability, reduces replacement components and allows for ease of service by technicians. A high-yield E-Drum imaging unit and higher yield quick fixing toner are designed for longer continuous operation to help reduce users’ total cost of ownership. This allows for more uptime, greater productivity and higher quality copies and prints.

For a reduced environmental impact, all of the imageRUNNER models feature Canon’s RAPID fusing technology, which allows for quick start-up times and enables the models to consume just 1 watt in Sleep mode while maintaining fast warm-up times. Consumables costs can also be decreased by using PC faxing, fax forwarding or Color Send technology, so fewer documents need to be printed.

The Canon imageRUNNER 2545/2545i/2535/2535i/2530/2525 models are available now from Océ direct sales offices. A variety of acquisition plans are available, including sale, lease or rental. For more information, please visit www.oceusa.com.
