Brandenburg / Havel, Germany — July 29, 2010 — RapidEye, the only geospatial solutions provider to own and operate a constellation of five identical Earth Observation satellites, announced today that TÃoV NORD of Germany, an official accreditation body for ISO 9001 standards, has not only extended RapidEye's ISO-certification after an extensive audit for its Quality Management Systems (QMS) but upgraded the certification to the ISO 9001:2008 level. This certificate covers marketing, sale, development, and provision of geo-spatial
product and service projects.

Globally recognized and respected, ISO 9001:2008 standards are set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a Geneva-based worldwide federation of national standard bodies. This certification demonstrates RapidEye's dedication to and implementation of a dedicated, systematic and quantifiable approach to quality standards.

Paul Karnowka, Quality Control Manager at RapidEye, said "The recent upgrade to ISO 9001:2008 provides us with an excellent framework to fully direct our attention to meeting our customers' needs. Furthermore, it supports our intentions to continually improve operations and processing of RapidEye products and services. ISO 9001 illustrates to our clients and competitors that the approach we have chosen has brought us a long way since our launch in 2008. With this in mind, we highly anticipate to make further progress in
pro-actively seeking the best solution to exceed our customers' expectations, and subsequently establish an even more reputable position within the market."
