BroadMap Unveils Newly Enhanced Website

(Glen Allen, VA) July 14, 2010—BroadMap is proud to announce the launching of their new website. BroadMap, a leading provider of geospatial solutions, is an emerging, innovative, strategic and results-oriented full-service GIS company specializing in providing government, non-profit and commercial business partners with custom-fit, turnkey geospatial solutions.

BroadMap’s new website represents a complete redesign of the user interface in order to enhance their website visitors' visual experience as well as to offer significant new features. This website highlights expanded content about new products and services; partners and customers; and technical- and customer-support resources. Visitors will find in-depth information about all of BroadMap’s products and services, including MapConnect™ Enterprise, BroadMap’s new flagship product for the enterprise market. MapConnect™ Enterprise is being introduced at the 2010 ESRI® International User Conference in San Diego, CA this week.

New resources have been developed to enable a more perceptual, personalized communication module, including the latest RSS Feed and a Collateral and Media Library. BroadMap’s redesign also incorporates vibrant graphics and optimized search capabilities. With the website’s new search functionality, the website visitor has quick and easy access to all resources. “Our goal for the launch of broadmap.com is to provide rich and informative content, making online visits to BroadMap a truly exciting experience,” said Holly Perrone, Chief Marketing Officer. “Our hope is to provide our partners and customers with updated information and material that will be easily accessible and appealing to all audiences.”

The BroadMap web design team was led by Holly Perrone and implemented by Tom Vu, Senior Director of Design and Development. The website was built on Drupal technology, a free and open source web content management framework that emphasizes collaboration, such as RSS feeds and account registration. Drupal easily enables website customization based upon the particular requirements of a website project. BroadMap's new website is the first of several initiatives that will take place in the months ahead, and will include four more phases of development. These future additions to the website will provide BroadMap’s visitors with even more intuitive and exciting information while offering extensive insight into the world of digital mapping, boundary creation and GIS.
