Trans-Pacific Aerospace Company, Inc. Appoints Ray Kwong to Board of Advisors; Names Nicholas Nguyen as Chief Engineer

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Jul 12, 2010 -- Trans-Pacific Aerospace Company, Inc. (OTCBB: TPAC) ("TPAC") announced today that it has appointed Raymond Kwong to its board of advisors and that it has hired Nicholas Nguyen as chief engineer.

Mr. Kwong is a Pacific Rim veteran and is currently facilitating complex talks on a number of commercial aerospace space ventures between China and the United States, including matters that involve space-based renewable energy, microgravity manufacturing and hard vacuum synthesis. In this capacity, he works with the U.S. departments of State, Energy and Commerce and their counterparts in China.

"We're happy to have Ray on board," said Bill McKay, Trans-Pacific Aerospace's CEO. "He'll be playing a hands-on role securing long-term contracts, and as Trans-Pacific Aerospace develops new product lines his work with several of China's new super ministries will hopefully help give us a marketable advantage in the maritime, power plant and space sectors as well."

Mr. Kwong has been a strategic planning and marketing advisor to numerous Fortune 200 companies including Bank of America, Disney, Edison and Sun Microsystems. He is a founding member of the Asian International Business Advisory Group, established to promote bi-lateral trade between China and the U.S., most recently serving as its chair of strategic planning.

Concurrently, Trans-Pacific Aerospace named Nicholas Nguyen as chief engineer. Mr. Nguyen has over 25 years experience in designing and manufacturing bearings and has been instrumental to the success of bearing designs for many significant programs including C-17 main landing gear bearings, B-2, the Space Shuttle, nuclear power plant bearings and the qualification of a wide variety of commercial aircraft bearings, including but not limited to SAE-ASS81820 of the same design as those to be qualified by TPAC in China.

"Nick is one of the most experienced design and production engineers in spherical bearings and is a tremendous asset to the TPAC team," said McKay. "He has successfully qualified bearings under SAE-AS81820 numerous times since mid-1980s. Nick will be heading the engineering design and production team in China, bringing with him past experience in developing Chinese facilities to MS bearing standards."

Trans-Pacific Aerospace Company plans to use its proprietary aerospace bearing technologies to manufacture and sell component parts for both new commercial aircraft and spares for the existing commercial fleet, initially through a joint venture in China. The component parts are referred to as self-lubricating spherical bearings, and they help with several flight critical tasks including aircraft flight controls and landing gears.
