Telmap and Pelephone Celebrate Winning the 2010 Global Telecoms Business Innovation Awards in the Location-Based Service Innovation Category

Telmap and Pelephone recognized for pushing the boundaries of Location Based Services

London 8 June 2010 – Telmap, the original pioneers in mobile location solutions, is pleased to announce that Telmap5, its mobile location companion, has been awarded the Global Telecoms Business Innovation Awards’ in the location-based service innovation category for its successful partnership with Israeli mobile network operator Pelephone, in powering the Pelephone’s GPS Navigator+. This award was presented at a ceremony held in London yesterday.

Telmap provides white label, hosted and managed mobile search, mapping and navigation solutions and Pelephone’s GPS Navigator+ is based on Telmap5 Mobile Location Companion, offering several innovative technologies that enable mobile operators to leverage localisation to differentiate their service both from competitors and from free offerings, as well as allowing end users to personalize it and “make it their own”.
