Skygone's GIS AppStore provides a searchable, vendor-neutral, shopping experience to end users interested in deploying GIS applications in the Cloud.

Currently, the GIS AppStore provides deployable templates of many popular GIS Server software; including, ArcGISr Server, MapServer, and GeoServer templated in simple and multi-tier configurations. The Skygone AppStore also provides "general infrastructure" Windows and Linux based templates all of which can be deployed to meet individuals' custom application needs.

"An AppStore featuring GIS software from many different software vendors is significant progress toward using the Cloud for more than just scalable infrastructure. We leverage the Cloud as a common platform; giving end users instantly-deployable options when selecting GIS software," says Ryan Hughes, CEO of Skygone. "In addition to the deployment conveniences offered by our AppStore, Skygone Cloud's unique ability to template and globally deploy multi-tier applications delivers enterprise-class features to GIS end-users and solution-providers alike."

Skygone is currently working with many GIS software vendors to template their solutions in the Cloud and will add the new Cloud GIS applications to the AppStore as they become available.
