April 1, 2010 -
Sescoi will be hosting a technology suite at
the Congress for the Future of Engineering Software (COFES) in Scottsdale, Arizona from
15th to 17th April, where leading companies and the best minds from within the industry will share their expertise and vision for the future of engineering software. The open and collaborative nature of the event will enable technology users, analysts, market leaders, and press to exchange ideas and evaluate new innovations and strategies, with the purpose of developing new products which will meet the rapidly evolving demands of engineers.
Sescoi will be presenting
two briefings at COFES, each with a dovetail into the theme of this year’s congress: ‘
What can we do to make our customers more effective innovators and how can we promote the development of better practices?’
An advanced analysis tool combing CAD and CAM data, integrated into a PLM environment, is one of the company’s more recent innovations. This software facilitates real time access to the latest design iterations, yet without the problems of file conversion, expertise, security and cost, making it possible to achieve true concurrent engineering and optimized manufacturing processes.
Sescoi will also be inviting feedback at COFES on its
new hybrid design system, which enables scanned and modeled design data to be combined into a homogeneous entity, ideal for digital prototypes and reverse engineering applications such as medical and dental prostheses. By combining this capability with the automated and intelligent NC programming technology for which Sescoi is renowned, engineers will be able to optimize machining methodology, incorporating the ease of use brought by “One Button CAM”.
Tim Bell, Sescoi Inc.’s Director of Business Development, says, “
COFES gives us the opportunity to obtain feedback from peers, identify technology partners and share our own advances with the engineering software community. We are already well known for our
WorkNC automated CAM software where our mission is to bring risk free “one button CAM” programming to reality. Our broader vision is to truly merge design and manufacturing by integrating complex environments, and automating technical expertise”.
