3D-Tool released V9 of its CAD Viewer and Converter
Now featuring native CATIA V4/V5, Pro/E and Inventor viewing and translation.
The 9th Version of the 3D-Tool CAD-Viewer is a general purpose tool that can be used to view, analyze, convert, and publish CAD files. The latest version has improved functionality, including more sophisticated 3D measuring tools and cross-section function. Also, measure and markup functions for 2D drawings in DXF,DWG, and HPGL, have been added.
Often, the expensive interface that is required to load CATIA, Pro/E, and Inventor files with the own CAD program is missing. The newly introduced Premium Version is an inexpensive solution. Not only does it have a direct interface for CATIA V4/V5, Pro/E, and Inventor files but provides the
3D-NativeCAD Converter that converts CATIA V4/V5, Pro/E and Inventor files into the STEP, IGS, VDA, SAT, and STL format.
The 3D-Tool Viewer makes it possible to view 3D models without an expensive CAD system and/or CAD skills. For a detailed analysis of 3D constructions, the 3D-Tool Viewer, besides professional measuring tools, cross-sections, and exploded views, offers information about volume and surfaces, displays draft angles and wall thicknesses, and calculates the projected surface area of a model.
One of the Viewer’s main features is the publication and distribution of CAD model as a directly executable EXE or 3D PDF file. 3D-Tool EXE files contain 3D models, 2D drawings, and the complete 3D-Tool Viewer. The recipient loads the file and can immediately use all Viewer functions without any further installation.
3D-Tool V9 including the 3D NativeCAD Converter can be downloaded from the 3D-Tool website www.3D-Tool.de for a free 14-day trial.
