LOUISVILLE, Ky., February 15, 2010 – Edwardsville Water Corporation, located in Edwardsville, Indiana; Ohio County Water District, located in Hartford, Kentucky; and Russellville Whitesburg Utility District, located in Russellville, Tennessee have purchased GIS software from Spatial Data Integrations, Inc (SDI) to begin implementation of a GIS program at their respective utilities. The software, SDImaps, is mapping software specifically designed for and tailored to the utility industry. SDI also provided training services and basemap data with the software.
SDImaps is specifically designed for the utility industry and is intended to give the power of GIS to users with all levels of computer experience. The software enables users to more efficiently manage infrastructure assets and create an accurate up-to-date system map without having to know GIS theory or database design/administration. SDImaps is an extension of ArcGIS software, a product of GIS industry leader, ESRI.
Edwardsville provides services to approximately 3,700 customers in Harrison County, IN; Ohio County provides services to approximately 5900 customers in Ohio County, KY and Russellville Whitesburg provides services to over 6,000 customers in Hamblen, Hawkins and Greene Counties, TN.
