New Zealand Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management Chooses E-SPONDER to Strengthen Collaboration, Response During Emergencies

New customer marks latest step in E-SPONDER's international expansion

ST. LOUIS, Jan. 27 — (PRNewswire) — E-SPONDER, a leader in emergency management software solutions, is excited to announce an agreement with New Zealand's Ministry of Civil Defence & Emergency Management (MCDEM). The Ministry will deploy E-SPONDER's solution within the National Crisis Management Centre and make the system available to all regional Civil Defence Emergency Management (CDEM) groups to help improve coordination, response and information sharing during emergencies.

After a competitive review of leading emergency management solutions, MCDEM selected E-SPONDER for their unified command system platform. When deployed later this year, E-SPONDER will give both the Ministry and the CDEMs a central tool to manage information during emergencies and instantly locate, activate and direct nearby resources with a wide range of mapping, workflow and information dissemination features. The solution allows multiple agencies to stay informed and collaborate in a way that optimizes resource allocation during emergencies.

"We are thrilled to support New Zealand's Ministry of Civil Defence & Emergency Management as they strengthen their inter-agency collaboration and ability to manage emergencies at all levels," said Robert Wolf, E-SPONDER president and CEO. "We're looking forward to working with the Ministry in the coming months to deploy a system that exceeds their unique needs."

The contract marks the latest step in E-SPONDER's growing presence in this unique and highly valuable market. E-SPONDER solutions have successfully been deployed for emergency management and first response organizations in Canada, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, United States and worldwide for non-government organizations like Save The Children.

"Since setting our sight on the international market in 2007, we've shown that our solution is both flexible and robust to meet the needs of first responders and emergency management agencies around the world," said Wolf. "As our suite of tools continues to grow, we're excited to explore how our technology can help other countries improve their tactical and emergency response software needs."
