CHICAGO, Jan. 11 — (PRNewswire) — NAVTEQ, the leading global provider of digital map, traffic and location data for in-vehicle, portable, wireless and enterprise solutions, today announced that BroadMap, a premier GIS solutions provider, has selected NAVTEQ map data as part of their broadband mapping solution supporting states and territories in response to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Recovery Act).BroadMap aggregates critical data from local and national sources and conducts independent verification processes to create its end-to-end solutions. BroadMap's solutions are enabling states, regions, and federal entities to identify unserved and underserved areas for broadband deployment allowing people and businesses to prosper from the increased access to and speed of information. The availability of broadband data will be granular to the census block and the most precise address level.
