Prime Focus, one of the world’s leading visual entertainment services groups, has named Mark Intravartolo Creative Director for North America.
Based in Hollywood and reporting to Prime Focus President of Worldwide Visual Effects, Michael Fink, Intravartolo will drive the company’s efforts to expand its services, team, and client base in television visual effects. Mark joins Prime Focus from Modern VideoFilm where notable projects included effects for “Grey Gardens,” “John Adams,” “Taking Chance,” “Max Payne,” “Tropic Thunder” and nine seasons of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”.
A veteran visual effects artist and editor, Intravartolo has contributed his talents to more than sixty television series, shows and feature films, and dozens of commercials. The Television Academy has recognized his work with an Emmy Award and three Emmy nominations. Intravartolo joins Prime Focus from Modern VideoFilm, where he spent six years as a Senior Visual Effects Artist. Prior to that, he served an eight-year tenure at The Post Group, where he held senior-level visual effects artist and compositor roles, and 525 Studios, where he was an Inferno Artist. Intravartolo started his career as a cameraman at KBAK-TV in Bakersfield, Calif, and has also held Editor roles at Varitel Video, Compact Video, and other post-production and broadcast facilities.
