Rock Outcrop Simulation
This is a simulation training environment-based high resolution LDIR data with multiple levels of detail, texture-mapping etc. The user has the ability to navigate and manipulate the model in 3D interactively as well as measure features on the model.
Vertical Seismic Profile Acquisition
EON Reality and Aramco have also developed an interactive 3D training for Vertical Seismic Profile (VSP) acquisition. The application involves a creative way of displaying basic physics and wave propagation through rocks with fully functional equipment used at the facilities on site. The VSP acquisition simulation consists of three types of scenarios that a user can interact with within the simulation.
Based on the positive internal feedback, Aramco plans now to expand the development to multiple modules and take a leading position in the area of simulation-based learning with respect to oil and gas.
