Meridian Systems Customer IMTC-MEI Honored

Meridian authorized technology partners receive Enabler Awards for service excellence

FOLSOM, Calif. (October 6, 2009) - Meridian Systems, the Plan-Build-Operate (PBO) technology solutions leader for project-based organizations, announced today that Constructech Magazine has honored IMTC-MEI with a Silver 2009 Vision Award. Technology Enabler awards were presented to the Cram Group, Project 3 Technologies, and Meridian Systems.

The Constructech Vision Awards honor companies that have realized the advantages of applying innovative technologies to their everyday businesses. All companies were honored during an awards ceremony following Constructech's fourth annual Technology Day conference.

"We feel that too many companies fail to understand the benefits of identification, procurement, implementation, and the value of using the right software system. Meridian and its partners made our vision a reality," said Shane Thomas, senior project services manager, IMTC-MEI. "This award shows that we are part of an elite group of companies that understand how technology delivers high levels of project control, ultimately lowering risk and costs."

IMTC-MEI was awarded a Silver Vision Award in the Builder/GC Commercial $26 Million - $100 Million Category. As specialists in the fire-rebuild arena, IMTC-MEI chose to leave the software and implementation to the experts. IMTC-MEI selected Project 3 Technologies because of their experience in project controls and document management. Project 3 Technologies, a Meridian technology partner, implemented a system that could manage cost, risk and resources through a successful implementation of Prolog® software from Meridian Systems.

The Phase I implementation was completed for a Fire Rebuild project in November 2008 - a project that required extremely close cost and version control. The system was combined with the third-party hosting service ProjectXnet from the Cram Group. IMTC-MEI decided to utilize a third-party hosting service for two reasons: their projects can be located anywhere in the world and there is no allowance for system failure.

This technology solution combined with the hosting service enabled IMTC-MEI to provide data and modification access, centralized administration and standardized reporting from anywhere in the world. In addition, the solution offers access to up-to-date, real-time reporting through secure software and hosting system - giving IMTC-MEI a competitive advantage over other catastrophic rebuild companies. Security and anonymity is a requirement for IMTC-MEI's clients, and with the combination of Prolog software, ProjectXnet and Project 3 Technologies' services, IMTC-MEI has a secure system.

"The companies honored are truly the definition of ‘excellence' in the construction industry. Each company has learned and benefited from the top-notch technology solutions they deploy today," said Peggy Smedley, editorial director of Constructech. "It is important to recognize these success stories, and we want to congratulate all of the winners for their superior achievements."

IMTC-MEI is a Subsidiary of Crown Enterprises, Inc., a Louisiana corporation. IMTC-MEI is recognized by the petrochemical industry as well as the insurance industry as a leader in Catastrophic Rebuilds, Capital Construction and Program Management.
