Design London's students and business partners of the Royal College of Art (RCA) and Imperial College will be able to develop their design and innovation skills and capabilities using the advanced technologies in Design London's IvT Centre.
The Centre is being equipped with the very latest design and visualization tools from EON Reality, including 3D stereoscopic displays, multi-dimensional modeling and the most up to date concentration of digital prototyping and manufacturing capability. These amenities will support student projects, teaching programs and Design London's research. It is also being made available to support Design London's industry and institutional partners. The visualization capabilities will be the most advanced in London including a totally immersive Computer Augmented Virtual Environment or EON ICube.
The IvT Centre will integrate all of these capabilities with the rapid prototyping and digital 3D printing resources of the Royal College of Art, as well as exploit the immense expertise developed at Imperial College in fields such as medical imaging and computational fluid dynamics and structural analysis. This will enable Design London to offer a complete end-to-end capability from design and visualization, digital manufacturing and support businesses and teaching to research the value of innovation technologies.
