Celeritive Technologies Signs Agreement to Allow Gibbs and Associates to Sell VoluMill for GibbsCAM

CAVE CREEK, AZ – Celeritive Technologies has signed an agreement with Gibbs and Associates of Moorpark, CA to offer the high-speed machining toolpath engine VoluMill as an option for its GibbsCAM CAD/CAM product.

VoluMill™, created by Celeritive, is a toolpath engine that is fully integrated with GibbsCAM. Soon, GibbsCAM also will have VoluMill Solids as an option with GibbsCAM. This new genre technology generates ultra-high-performance toolpaths with smooth radial motions and controlled force on the spindle and cutting tool. VoluMill toolpaths are based on optimal material removal parameters that dramatically reduce cycle times and significantly extend the life of cutting tools.

“VoluMill is the first third-party product that my resellers are talking about and asking for,” says Bill Gibbs, founder of Gibbs and Associates. “Early Gibbs users are raving about the impact VoluMill is having on their operating costs. The VoluMill option will become part of Gibbs’ standard offering and will be promoted, shown and demonstrated at trade shows and in webinars.”

GibbsCAM provides shop-proven CAD/CAM software for 2- through 5-axis milling, turning, mill/turning, multi-task simultaneous machining and wire-EDM. Its customers include Fortune 500 companies such as Boeing, Ford Motor Co., Lockheed Martin and Raytheon as well as companies in global markets.

“This agreement will broaden the exposure for VoluMill in Europe, Asia and South America, and increase the size of our sales channel significantly,” says Larry Lynott, Celeritive Technologies’ vice president of sales.

Celeritive Technologies was founded in 2007 to develop and commercialize advanced CAD/CAM technologies. Starting with a blank sheet of paper and leveraging the 75+ years of combined machining, software design, software development, and business management experience of the founders, the company its first product – VoluMill™. This innovative and powerful toolpath engine extends and enhances the capabilities of today’s CAD/CAM software systems, integrates seamlessly into PLM systems, and significantly improves productivity and throughput in the production environment.
