YARMOUTH, MAINE, September 7, 2009 ─ DeLorme, an innovation leader in mapping, GIS, and GPS technology, will demonstrate XMap GIS data synchronization features during the 2009 GITA Oil and Gas Conference, scheduled for Sept. 13-17 in Houston. Included in the XMap demonstration will be several new features tailor-made for mobile field forces involved in the maintenance of remote pipeline assets.

Attendees will also be able to examine DeLorme’s new seamless, horizontally-accurate data sets ─ the World Base Map and North America Data Sets. Both products are unique in their level of consistency, up-to-date detail, and horizontal and positional accuracy.
In addition, DeLorme will offer a special XMap training seminar, covering basic functions, file and data management, development of GIS layers, using XMap with GPS, and printing high quality maps.

XMap is DeLorme’s proprietary GIS mapping software suite, with three tiers targeted to corporate GIS administrators, mid-level GIS managers, and mobile field force personnel.
