August 31, 2009 — Australian spatial business intelligence pioneer Integeo has entered an agreement with Integeo China Pty Ltd that entitles Integeo China to promote, distribute and support Integeo’s Map Intelligence platform in greater China. Integeo China has responsibility for Chinese translation and quality assurance for Map Intelligence running on Chinese operating systems using Chinese maps.

Integeo China is well advanced in developing its channel in China and already has several partners with early customer deployments of Map Intelligence in areas such as Telecommunications, Emergency Management, Government, Petroleum and Gas.

“We see China as a huge potential market for our product and are very pleased to be taking this next strategic step into the Chinese market,” said Integeo CEO Peter Rossiter. “We have put in a lot of effort working towards this goal over several years with Integeo China’s CEO, Dr Chuan Zhang, and the feedback we’ve received from the region has been very positive.”

Dr Zhang confirmed this upbeat appraisal, “Map Intelligence offers out-of-the-box a large range of spatial visualization and analytical functionality and is particularly attractive because of its ease of use and deployment, hiding the inherent complexity of the underlying mapping technologies.

"We have already seeded our China operations by establishing relationships with some carefully selected China-based solution providers in key regions of China and the results are very encouraging. Our goal is to become the premier China-based solution provider for location intelligence.”
